5 Ingredient Tiramisu for Two
Tiramisu is a labor of love but a bit too much labor for a weeknight after work. With a few simple shortcuts, I came up with a way for this to be a quick weeknight fix when I needed it.
PREP TIME: 8 minutes l COOK TIME: 0 minutes l TOTAL TIME: 8 minutes
Ingredients
1 pint heavy cream
1/2 cup sugar
1 tablespoon instant espresso (you add more if you want a stronger coffee flavor)
1 teaspoon cocoa powder
6 tablespoons lukewarm water
Serving Vessel
2 glasses of your choice, the prettier the glass the better it will look in the end! For parties I often use martini glasses for a dramatic touch.
Directions
Serving size: 2 servings
In a bowl, whip together the heavy cream and sugar until you get soft peaks.
I typically do this with a hand blender but if you don’t have one on hand then you can do it by hand with a whisk.
In a 2ND bowl, mix together the espresso powder, cocoa and water.
Now begins the fun part, start layering the bottle of the glass with enough wafers to cover the bottom and pour over 1 tablespoon of the espresso mix.
Next layer over the whip cream and repeat this 2 more times, the whip cream should be your final top layer.
You can refrigerate these for a few hours, just be sure to cover them with plastic wrap, or eat them right away.
Garnish with some crisp wafers for a crunch on top!
